Brush and Pencil in hand

I have been wanting to get back into drawing and painting for a while, and had a perfect opportunity to make it happen a few weeks back. Andy was doing another charity event so I made a couple of pieces to auction off. I am hoping to keep things going and find more time to create. I did a pencil drawing of a pinup, and a muertos/candy skull with acrylic and marker on canvas.

In Bloom

The other day on my way home, the rain dispersed and the sun came out, and it was gorgeous. I took the camera out to get a few pics. I love that things are coming back to life.

Easter

Easter this year was so much more exciting than last with Lailah. For a week I got her going about the Easter Bunny, when you would ask her who would be coming on Sunday, she'd gleefully respond "Bunny!". She knew he would bring candy and presents, and she couldn't wait. Sunday came and she was excited to wear her pretty dress, she got to see both sets of Grandparents, and the Easter Bunny left her a note and bunny tracks to the back yard where she discovered hidden eggs, and a SAND BOX! She was so stoked and it's become one of her favorite things. All in all, it was an Easter to remember.

She got right down to playing with the sand

Can someone please tell me when this will no longer be an issue.
'Mmm, a nice tasty rock.'

 Lots of smiles.

Awww, a pretty good life, indeed.

Someone loves to play the drums

Lailah loves to play Uncle Ry's drums. She wants to "Haf it".

A girl in a tutu

Last Friday I let Lailah choose her outfit, and there is nothing cuter than a little girl in a pink tutu. I have been enjoying Friday's off with her again. Just wish that I was feeling better these days. I have been having a hard time keeping up with her, my body doesn't have what it takes, medication I have been on doesn't help, and I just can't seem to get enough sleep to get rid of the overwhelming fatigue and tiredness I have been experiencing. Without going into too much detail in this arena, I will just say that the female design is severely flawed. I am hoping that I can get back on track and feeling better soon. I feel like I am in a fog all the time, I try to come up with words for this blog and they aren't there, I try to decide what to make for dinner and you'd think it was the most complicated decision a person ever had to make, little things feel completely blown out of proportion, and I am just tired all the time. I am so thankful to have a mother and a mother-in-law to help take care of this little fireball of a munchkin. I don't know that there are words I could say that could truly express my gratitude for the help that they provide. Without them, I just don't know how I would do it.

Willard Bay

A few weekends ago Grandma Tami and Grandpa Frank were camping up at Willard Bay, and Andy was busy all day long so Lailah, Koala and I went up for a visit. Lailah was in HEAVEN. We got out of the car and she could hear the bullfrogs croaking, there were sticks everywhere, lots of places to walk, water, birds. It was a really fun day! She was exhausted by the time we left and was asleep before I was even able to drive out of the campground.

For the love of Bubbles

Lailah has the best Daddy. A couple of weeks ago, Andy got out the bubble machine while Lailah was playing outside, and she had a blast. We all had a blast watching her have a blast. I love it when she exudes this amount of happiness...

Friday's off again...

I've been able to start taking Friday's off again, and it's so fun to spend some girl time with my lil' bean. I took these pictures a few weeks ago. Now that the weather is warming up, Lailah wants nothing more than to be outside. We take lots of walks, pick up lots of sticks and rocks, talk about what we see, she's such a sweetie pie, and I love all the nature moments we have together.

Sushine on my shoulders...

makes me happy.

My oh my, time slips through my fingers, memories are being made every day and I haven't been able to find the time to write them down. I really need to get better about making weekly blog entries. The time passes and I can't remember the details. I took these pictures a few Saturday's ago on one of our evening walks.
